Our Online Booking System
Driving Lessons are scheduled at 9.30am, 12.00pm & 4.00pm Monday to Sunday. On occasions, some times & dates will become unavailable.
To ensure real time & accurate reflection of our availability, our online booking system offers a SELF SERVICE method for learners book lessons which best suit their individual circumstances.
Clients who possess a Gift Voucher, will not be able to book a lesson using the online booking system. Gift voucher holders must contact 0403611750 or helpme@myqldwrite.com.au to arrange their lessons.

Hi there, I'm Audra, founder and director of QWRITE 2 DRIVE
I am a former QLD POLICE OFFICER with 23 + years of driving police and private vehicles on the Gold Coast, Mornington Island, Mount Isa, Innisfail, Townsville, Brisbane, Longreach and Mackay.
I have extensive practical experience in driving different vehicle types, across different terrains, in different road and weather conditions; and urgent duty driving skills.
Qualifications
Our Staff have the following certifications as per industry requirements:
- CERT IV in Transport and Logistics (Car Driving Instructor);
- TMR Accreditation as Driving Instructor
- Working with Disabilities (Yellow Card P)
- Working with Children (Blue Card P)

All vehicles are fitted with Dual Control Systems as per s29 of TORUM (Accreditation) Regulations. All vehicles have comprehensive insurance cover.

Product & Services Terms & Conditions
* All lessons are to start & finish in the Mackay area only, unless otherwise agreed to by QWrite 2 Drive prior to any bookings.
* Learners / Drivers must have a current license permitting them to drive on the road. The learner must be in physical possession of their drivers license or the approved digital license for the duration of their lesson. Failure to produce a valid license may result in loss of lesson without reschedule or refund option.
* Learners / Drivers with a Medical Condition or Returning Driver Condition MUST carry their Medical Certificate & Returning Driver Certificate with them for the lesson. A photo on your phone of the certificate is unacceptable. Failure to have possession of these certificates will result in the lesson being forfeited without a refund or option to reschedule.
* All drivers under tuition are to comply with the conditions of their license at all times. Failure to do so may result in the lesson being forfeited without a refund & no rescheduling option.
* No verbal abuse, arguing or disrespect towards our staff or property will be tolerated & the lesson will be terminated immediately. No refund issued.
* Continued unsafe or illegal actions placing individual learners, staff & other road users will result in the instructor assuming control of the vehicle & decision made on how to proceed. This may include early termination of the lesson without reschedule or refund.
* Learners must not consume any alcohol or illicit substnces within 24hrs before their driving lesson. Regardless of the amount consumed, the lesson will be terminated & no refund issued.
* 48hr Cancellation Notice applies. Cancellation or inability to attend (NO SHOW) the scheduled lesson will result in losing the lesson without an option to reschedule or refund.
* Instructor Cancellation reasons PRIOR to Commencing a lesson may include personal, professional or severe weather-related reasons. In this instance, the customer will be provided an opportunity to reschedule or receive a refund in full without any additional fees or charges.
* Cancellation of a lesson DURING a lesson due to unforeseen circumstances may necessitate a negotiation to reschedule the lesson to another suitable time & date. No partial refund offered.
* Leaners wearing strong fragrances which cause offence or place a welfare risk to our instructors & following lessons will be asked to wash off the fragrance, or change clothes if necessary before the lesson continues. However, if the learner chooses neither options, the lesson will be terminated without refund or further opportunities to reschedule.
* Cancelling a lesson with more than 48hr notice will result in a refund to the customer, less a single Admin fee of $15.00.
* VOUCHERS are valid for use with any of our QWRITE 2 DRIVE vehicles. VOUCHERS are valid for 12mth period from the date of purchase. To use VOUCHERS please contact us on mobile 0403611750 or helpme@myqldwrite.com.au so we can discuss & make your bookings for you.
* Video & Audio Recording Devices used in all QWrite 2 Drive Vehicles for training, evidentiary, compliant, dispute resolution & compliance purposes.
* Audio Recording capability can be turned on or off upon request of the learner, parent or legal guardian.
* RACQ Insurance Excess: The learner driving at the time of a traffic crash is expected to contribute 50% towards any excess payable resulting from the traffic crash.
* RACQ Insurance Excess Schedule is as follows:
- Basic Excess $650 +
- Under 19yrs of age $1300; or
- 19yrs of age $1000; or
- 20yrs to 21yrs of age $800; or
- 22yrs to 24yrs of age $500
* RACQ Insurance Excess: At most a learner maybe expected to contribute 50% of $1950 or at least 50% of $1150. If you have any concerns regarding this component of our terms and conditions, please do not hesitate to contact QWRITE 2 DRIVE directly for discussion.
* No food, drinks (except water), smoking, e-cigarettes or vaping inside any QWRITE 2 DRIVE or learner supplied vehicles whilst under instruction.
* If using own vehicle for lesson, vehicle must be registered, in a roadworthy condition & pass a pre-drive inspection. When required by law, the driver under tuition MUST DISPLAY L PLATES on the FRONT & REAR of their vehicle. If the learners vehicle does not meet any of these standards then QWRITE 2 DRIVE vehicles can be used at no extra cost. If the learner declines to use a QWRITE 2 DRIVE vehicle & cancels the lesson, the 48hr cancellation notice policy applies.
* Learners are solely responsible for cost of fuel, insurance excess if their own vehicle is involved in a traffic crash
* QWRITE 2 DRIVE Instructors are not QLD Transport Driving Examiners. We do not conduct practical driving tests or issue a drivers license.
* Learners are responsible for completing & submitting their Logbook to QLD Transport for approval. Learners should allow at least two (2) weeks for the approval process to be completed.
* Learners are responsible for completing their online Hazard Perception Test prior to their Practical Driving Test.
* Learners are responsible for booking their own Practical Driving Test online or by calling QLD Transport on 132380.
Payment Options
* Payments are automated through Online Booking System which is accessible through the Online Booking Page or Online Store Page depending on the nature of the service or product you wish to purchase.
* For multiple / mass bookings payments are received by MYOB Invoicing or PAYID to mobile 0403 611 750.

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
MY LIVED EXPERIENCE: In November 2021, I was diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Without going into it too much, the main cause behind the Trauma was 23+ years of unprocessed and unresolved Trauma from work and associated environments.
After many years of being verbally, physically, sexually, emotionally abused, devalued and mistreated by management and colleagues; spat on by members of the public and stripped back to the bare bones of mental existence; the camels back finally broke.
Fortunately, I had a strong and supportive care team consisting of General Practitioners, Psychologist, Psychiatrist, Injury Management, Human Support Officer, and my direct line manager. These care givers, were 88% female and showed me sincerity, compassion, encouragement and guidance at a time where I didn't understand why my mind, my emotions and my physical responses were very disproportionate.
Working in an public safety industry for so long, human behaviour, mental health and all forms of abuse were well known to me as an operational police officer. But I couldn't see it in myself, until I recognised a fear in the eyes of my youngest child I have seen countless times before in the eyes of children from domestic violence related circumstances.
That was my pivot point and I haven't looked back since.
There have been many lessons learnt throughout this journey of personal recovery. One is where I wish I had someone by my side relieving me of all the 'process driven' tasks to complete'. This included organising appointments, tests, sessions, paperwork, verbal reporting and updating multiple people, multiple times with the same story.
I started to lose track of what I needed to do, where I needed to be and who I told what... And just when life thought I wasn't under enough pressure, I have 3 boys and a husband at home to organise and manage as well. And it doesn't stop there, my mind continues to process bad experiences to the point where 3am in the morning I am wide awake trying to gain control of myself again.
I am very thankful for the people who are apart of my life and who have been with me on this journey of recovery. I wouldn't of made it without them. Now it is my turn to coach others, and organise themselves, their life, their medical appointments, so their road to recovery can be simpler and less overwhelming than mine.

This is my baby,
Before my baby came along, I was a young professional working full-time shift work as QLD Government employee. On the outside, I was a high functioning individual performing a community orientated and public safety function. However on the inside I was barely functioning. I was lost, broken and an empty shell of who I was wanting to be. My sense of purpose was missing.
In 2012, I gave birth to the love of my life. I had no greater purpose in life and I finally had a reason to live. My mission in life now shifted from providing the community with protection, to protecting my baby as a then single mother.
Between 2012 - 2017, my baby taught me many lessons including:
* Unconditional Love given and returned;
* Self worth and Inner strength to overcome any hurdles we faced;
* Ask the right persons for help;
* Resilience and Resourcefulness.
My baby changed my life because of the lessons learnt because of him. As a result, I changed. My attitude, personality, needs and priorities changed. Also, my support networks changed. Now, we want to catch the children who slip through the cracks in the Government systems. Regardless of ethnicity, age, disability or circumstances; every child is important and can make a difference to improving their own life and others, through self worth, respect and positive choices.
